My name is Helena Henriksson and I work as a tour guide and host for international visitors in Helsinki and the surrounding areas.
After almost thirty years spent abroad, mainly in London UK, I have returned to my native Finland. I have also lived for years in Marbella on the Costa del Sol in Spain, and have spent prolonged periods elsewhere in Europe and the Middle East.
My interests are varied and include art, culture, history, current affairs and food. My first degree is in Travel and Tourism and I also have a BAHons in History of Art from University of London. My Master’s Degree is in Leadership and Management in Education. I have worked in travel agencies and tour operators in Helsinki and London, and ran my own restaurants in Marbella and London. I have also set up and run a very successful charitable retail and service enterprise in London.
And now, after my return to Finland, I am delighted to be able to show visitors around the beautiful capital city Helsinki, and introduce them to the Finnish culture in general. In my blog I write about things which interest me, mainly to do with art and culture, food and travel.
